Sometimes the Game Doesn't Load in Firefox

Arcaholic found a workaround to this bug. It requires a small tweak to how you launch Firefox, but makes the game work perfectly. You should also only have to do this once. See below!
Sometimes, when loading the game in Firefox, you aren't able to get past the 'Waiting for 3D Engine' loading screen.
This is due to a problem between Firefox and Java that we can't do anything about ourselves (although we're trying).
Workaround
We don't have a solve for when the bug happens in XP. You'll have to use Internet Explorer. To get around the bug in Vista:
1.) Close Firefox
2.) Right-click on the Firefox icon and click 'Run as Administrator'. This will launch Firefox with the permissions it needs to get the game running.
3.) Run the game normally.
The game should launch and work for you. You should also be able to start Firefox normally the next time.

This may be fixed. We haven't been able to replicate it since we made some changes. We'll keep you posted.

[Ed. Note: This doesn't work, unfortunately. It loads the Flash client but doesn't let you connect to the game.]
Happens for me everytime.
I simply right click and hit Play in the Flash popup menu, and I get past the loading screen.

Not working for me as well. Workaround:
Hey, its not working for me in firefox at all either. If i right click and select "play" then it will go onto the main menu, but it doesn't have my character and i cant join any channels. I found a work around: If you install the IE Tab addon, and activate it on this site then it works fine loads, with no issues.

Thanks cerdric. We'll hopefully make it so that's not needed any more, but good to know there's a workaround.
not working for me
i get as far as waiting for 3d engine to work and it just sits there and dose nothing as well i get errors when i try to run it on explorer it goes into the create a char screen but wont let me type in anything

im getting this error when loading game
refvt: Virtools
game still starts get to char screen but still cant type after the relog on explorer
and getting same error on firefox but wont get past main loading screen with Fox
I have Solved the issue
When using Vista You Must Right click on firefox or explorer icon and click on run as admin to solve these issues as well this has now allowed me to run with firefox as well with no issues ?

When stuck on the Waiting
When stuck on the Waiting for 3D loading screen, try right-clicking, select PLAY.
If the chat room list then displays numbers like 0/25, its working. If it displays something like ??/25 well, it didn't work. ;-)
