Website Updates: Private Messages and Spam Control

Over the past few weeks, many of us have noticed an onslaught of unwanted messages appearing on our forums. You can follow the complete progress here on in this thread on the forums.

Long story short, for the time being, we have disabled your ability to post links on the forums, required a verified e-mail address for sign-up, and implemented some simple CAPTCHAs on the registration form and forum post submission page. We are hopeful that these steps will curb the unwanted spammy behaviors.

Additionally, on a much more positive note, we have installed a module to allow you to private message one another. This will be an ideal tool for you to communicate with other members of the Rise & Ruin community, schedule matches, or just catch up. You will see a link to your inbox in right sidebar, and the system will agressively notify you if you have a pending message to be read.
