Player Spotlight: CerdricDarkfall

Each month we host a player spotlight where your Community Manager, Burdenday, interviews a member of the Rise & Ruin community to get to know him or her a little better.

This month, we are pleased to feature Cerdric Darkfall as our Player of the Month for September!


Rise & Ruin: You were one of the earliest open beta adopters of Rise & Ruin. You've seen what was, and is; what are you most interested in seeing in the future?


Cerdric Darkfall: I am looking forward to when we finally get all the different card types out, and R&R becomes more complex. Right now, The victor is generally whoever has the strongest cards and the highest skill in hand held. I can't wait to see card reversals, healing, missed attacks, more species, physical alterations, etc. Another thing I will really be looking forward to is clan integration into the game. Sweet, sweet badges...

R&R:The Reapers of Chaos is the very first R&R clan, and the only Ralak-only clan currently. To anyone interested in joining your group, do you have any words for them as their potential "Chaos Reaper"?

CD: Sure. When you join us, you're not just joining a clan... You're joining a family... HA HA HA No. :P
Our clan is full of some really great guys (and a girl! :D) that can help you figure out the game, give you tips and help you out whenever you need. As well, what better way is there to show your appreciation for Ralaks than by banding together with group of like-minded people? There really is no reason NOT to join our clan, unless you dislike free help and plain awesomeness. Your choice.

R&R: What aspect of Rise & Ruin do you enjoy the most? Why?

CD: What I enjoy most about Rise and Ruin is probably the amount of community involvement in the game. The way the player base can really influence the entire game and how the developers actually listen to their community about what works and what doesn't is really great. The amount of work that goes into this game is phenomenal, and I have deep respect for the devs behind it.

R&R: What is your favorite GM event? Are you excited your "Fastest" event was run yesterday?

CD: My favorite GM event would have to be Friday Night Fights, because of the increased skill point gainage and how the R&R story unfolds every week with Septu, etc. With the amount of people that generally participate there should always be a battle buddy for everyone, so it makes it a lot of fun with no one feeling left out. In regards to my event, I had a great time last night. It was really exciting to see the R&R community battling to reign champion in an event I came up with. (As this was written Monday, I am assuming I can see the future and that everyone has a great time! Also, you left the stove on tomorrow. :P)

R&R:: Any final thoughts?

CD: Not really. I'm honored to have been chosen as this months featured player, and I look forward to seeing the many great players that come after me.
