Rise & Ruin is created by a small team of dedicated developers. You likely have met most of us in the chatroom and on the battlefield, but we want to re-introduce the people who are hard at work behind the scenes making the next iteration of Rise & Ruin.
Click "Read more" below to get to know the people behind the computer screens and lines of code that make the game we call home!
Geoffrey "Taliesan" MacDougall
Lead Designer & Producer
Taliesan has a long history of very sucessful business development in the public, private and voluntary sectors, raising millions of dollars for a number of entities. For Rise & Ruin, among many other things, he designs new cards, and new game experiences for all players to enjoy. Currently, Taliesan is working on building new relationships with partners for the future of Rise & Ruin.
Rene "Spore" Boutin
Co-Producer, Creative Director, & Flash Developer
René "Ray" Boutin ("GM Spore") has designed and built interactive entertainment for over 20 years on a number of platforms, first starting as a pixel artist for Nintendo games. For Rise & Ruin, he programs the UI and other front-facing features of the game client, among other things. Spore is currently working with Fede ("Jetono") on new game client features.
Federico "Jetono" Stein
Lead Developer
Since Jetono first laid eye on a videogame in his early childhood, he knew that being a fireman, astronaut, or paleontologist were no longer career options. He's been programming since he was 12, and has designed and coded games for several platforms: web, casino machines, phones and PC for 14 years. For Rise & Ruin, he writes the code that makes things work communicating between the server and the UI. Currently, Jetono is working on the basic battle server, which is the framework for the future of Rise & Ruin.
Marco "Tiberius" Mucci
Associate Producer
Tiberius delivers an array of project management experience in both the public and private sector, from design and development to execution. When he's not mobilizing for a new project, Tiberius delves deeply into comic books and is an avid player of trading card games. For Rise & Ruin, Tiberius is the acting project manager, organizing and coordinating the development process.
Joe "Burdenday" Wagner
Community Manager
Burdenday offers a history of customer service and community management experience in both the MMO market and the real world. With a passion for helping people and storytelling, for Rise & Ruin he produces the content for the website, provides player support, and works on continuing the game's backstory through the creation of new history. Currently, Burdenday is working on providing more detailed support documentation, and storyline ideas for the single-player option being developed.
Awesome! Great information.
Awesome! Great information. I feel strangely closer to you all now... ;) Adding a storyline mode to single player is a great idea. I was actually going to suggest that, but I guess I don't need to!
