Chapter 9: The Divine War

Snykus cursed in absolute disgust. The Vedyn had thwarted his flawless scheme and stolen the reigns of the Universe from his waiting grasp. He swore that they would sacrifice their souls for this unspeakable treachery. New life had been breathed into the lungs of the Divine War and Snykus could not fathom the dire events that had just transpired to the benefit of his asinine brothers. Adolces and Varken were reborn. The Universe had smiled upon them and granted them reprieve. They vowed to make the most of their good fortune. Adolces' mind raced with renewed vigor, his very being determined not to fall victim to Snykus' deceitful ways again. Varken stood up in defiance and charged at Snykus. Moments before, he had accepted his fate and would have begged Snykus for benevolence, but now Varken's blood boiled with vengeance. He charged Snykus with unqualified contempt and landed a thunderous blow. A savage battle ensued high above the clouds, mirroring the events below. Even Adolces succumbed to his contempt for his brothers and engaged in this foreign behaviour. The Vedyn, retreated to their place on Nihilo's throne, looked on in anticipation of their next call to action. The Divine War knew no boundaries, it consumed everyone in its fatal path - Gods and all.
