Introductions

I was browsing through the forums and noticed that there's no section or even a thread for introductions. The thought occurred to me that it might be interesting to know a bit about some of the people we might be battling against in Beta, and perhaps later on when the game goes live. I know i just recently joined so I'm hoping I'm not out of line for making this post, but if I am, just kindly delete it and let me know.
I do recommend that if you do introduce yourself, that you do not give out your personal information. This is just the usual safety precaution which is advise while on the internet.
Anyways, I may as well introduce myself. My online nickname is Dray`Gon, though mostimes I have to go with DrayGon or DrayGon777 if that's taken. I'm an avid hardcore gamer and enjoy playing a large variety of games. I'm a big fan of fantasy, and dragons, which is partly what has drawn me to this game thus far. I also like a lot of strategy which this game seems to have.
I'm currently working in retail and also taking a college degree course so I can't be on the game much. Still, I will try to be on when I can. I enjoy the Ralak race (go figure) though I like to imagine I'm a bit more considerate than most Ralaks.
I tend to be a bit chatty at times and will try to keep my posts within a fair reason since I have a tendancy to want to respond to a lot of posts once I get familiar with the community.
Well, enough about me. I'm curious to find out about some of the people I'll likely be meeting, and likely dueling here in the near future. ;)

Well, I don't think I can still call myself a hardcore gamer anymore as life tends to get in the way these days. I am a fan of DnD, MMORPGs... I guess RPGs in general. :-)
I currently work in IT and volunteer with a few nonprofits. I will try to come online and hopefully I get to meet some of you in battle!

I am very pleased to be here, this game looks incredible.
I also plans to do an online game like this one on virtools, sometimes in the future. However, mine will be a Turn based tactical, most probably in a futuristic era. :)

I am the Creative Director and one of the partners in R&R (though really everybody here has lots of input and responsibilities beyond our official titles). This is my testing account. You may have seen me in the chat rooms under "RayRalakMOD" or "JoeJixsuMOD" or even other characters like "Testeroni". I also may post here as "RayB".
I'm more than eager to show you folks how to play R&R, and answer any questions.

I'm Not That Desolate
I'm RR_Desolate and I'm one of the admins you'll see around the boards. As an avid trading card gamer I'm really excited to be a part of R&R. I had a taste of combat during the closed beta and I can't wait to get back into it. Let's just say I didn't win all my matches and I've got some revenge to dish out. Well, that's it for now. We're all working hard as the Open Beta is coming up. I'll see you in the arena.

I just stumbled onto this game... looks very interesting. I'm an avid online gamer, so I'm always on the lookout for new games to play with other people. I'm especially intrigued by the promised mobile phone-based features. I love it when games let players play and progress outside of the main game interface (i.e. EVE Online's real-time based leveling system).
About me: I'm from the southeast US and my day job is designing educational Flash games and activities. Before that, I went to school in computer science and math and worked as a programmer.

Starting With jix'Su
The character I created yesterday was a jix'Su. When I play a game with multiple races and/or classes, I usually play the generalized warrior class. I was going to pick the Ralaks, but I don't like their arrogance and I do like the cunning approach of the jix'Su.

I know what you mean. There's something about the jix'Su that makes you want to play them. Sure the Ralak are superb warriors, but the jix'Su definitely have a craftiness to them.
The Ralak and jix'Su both have unique strengths and weaknesses. It will be interesting to see how the players use their skill points to maximize their characters. Should make for some interesting matches.
