During the closed beta I had the opportunity to battle a variety of players. I thought a was going to clean up because my deck was loaded with high-damage cards. Well, I learned a hard lesson after getting whipped a few times.
The problem was that I was focusing too much on my cards and not on my skill and attribute ratings. Even with a deck full of high-value cards, my low ratings resulted in lost battles.
So, don't just focus on building the killer deck. You have to also invest in your character's skill and attribute ratings. When you have those two things going on you'll see some serious damage being inflicted on your opponent.
Skills and Cards
Yo Desolate. I like using skills with cards. Nice mix of roleplaying like D&D. You talked about getting wiped out because your skills were to low. How does that work?

Improving Skills
Hi Muto,
Investing in your character's skills is so important in R&R. The higher the skill the more you get out of a card when you play it. The problem I was having was I jumped into battle without assigning my skill points. My opponent had higher skills so he was able to do more damage to me. Also, he built a deck with cards that matched his strengths. For example, he had a high skill level in Hand-to-Hand, so he played lots of Hand-to-Hand cards.
