Input off

I'm getting the exact same problem. Input OFF at the top corner, no ammount of clicking or keyboard use does a thing about it.

Tried with both the latest Google Chrome, and Firefox, no luck either way.

Thanks very much for reporting this issue. Out programmer has been notified and he's currently looking into a permanent solution.

A question for the both of you, was the new character visible at the time you couldn't input anything?

Also, did you try to move the mouse over the text box and click it?

When you see the INPUT OFF flag, are you also able to see a Ralak in the character panel (the big black window in the top middle).

No button was visible, they were all gray out. I did try to click on the INPUT OFF text box but nothing happened.

No, I could not see anything in the character panel.

As a few other developers have mentioned, the cause is being looked into.

In my experience, it sometimes it just a matter of waiting 30 seconds or so for the fields to become active.

You may also want to try starting your browser completely and seeing if just waiting a bit causes "input off" to change to "input on."

i right clikced and playied in the settings. i switched from forced soft to forced hardware a couple times and it started working.

the "input off" is just indicating that you are typing in the field or not.

This doesnt happen for me ever, However if i am ever in character creation I always have either input off or input on. Changes when I click in a text box and then out.

We're still working on getting it resolved. I would recommend restarting your Internet browser completely and letting the Character Creation load for up to 3 minutes (Sorry -- I know that's a long time, but it should rule out any issues with a slower connection).

If you're still having trouble creating a character, please post back and let us know.

ok,now i loaded up for 30 mins but i still cant interact?

and i have a question....
Sometimes when im loading it i see a loading count on the left side of the window what does it mean?

im running IE 8, the input flag is on but when i type in the name field nothing happens, ive waited 3 mins and still nothing restarting IE isnt doing the trick for me either but ill keep trying....

Sorry for the continued trouble!

At this point we're trying to nail this bug down and get it resolved as soon as possible.

My next recommendation would be to try a different browser - if you're having trouble with IE, try Firefox 3.5, and so forth. Please let us know if this at all helps.

I tried to run the game on other browsers and waited pretty long too but it still doesn't work and shows Input off.

mine is the same input off but no guy in the box is there anay solution

i get the imput on and off but i cant type anything in the box the little blinking theng in the far bottom left correr comes on and i type a name but it doesnt show up

I can see everything the game is running fine, the guy is there and i can change his colours and so on, evan the input on and off is working but i cant type in the box! it knows im in the input box trying to type yet it just doesnt let me type?

Have you tried another browser, kirkybugz?

it could just be me but when i call the number it doesn't work and my phone has long distance any suggestions ? ive dialed it with a 1 and without a 1 also

Your line most likely has 1-900 numbers blocked. Unfortuantely, this means you either would need to contact your phone service provider and request for it to be unblocked, or use a credit card to purchase credits instead.

We are looking into alternative forms of accepting payment as well, but it may be some time before we can provide those to you.

I have also had the original problem noted about character creation. I play the game using a laptop, it is a 64 bit 2.0 GHz AMD running Windows Vista. I cannot create characters, neither the name field or the description field will accept any key that I it. I noticed on the submission page it talks about a "numpad", which I assume to be the numeric key pad, whch is lacking on most laptops, so maybe this has to do with how the input is being receieved. I also have an older PC (1 Ghz with Windows XP) with which I can load the game and create characters, yet gameplay is often too slow and I am booted out. The soltion for me is to use the laptop for game play, but switch over to the PC when I need to create a character (which is not often). Hope his helps any potential gamers and/or the R&R programming staff.
